Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Well-Known California Coast
A chopper hovering above a well-attended southern California beach suddenly began spiraling wildly, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a line of palm trees as spectators watched.
Recordings shared on social media depict the helicopter beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising two individuals who were in the chopper and were âsafely pulled from the wreckageâ following the incident on the weekend.
Three persons on the street were hurt. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.

Authorities said the helicopter was connected to an annual âCars N Coptersâ charity gathering scheduled for Sunday.
