Springfield's Favorite Family Arrives in Rocket League: Unfortunately Not the Vehicle You're Hoping For
We already knew that The Simpsons was collaborating with Epic Games' battle royale, but this isn't the sole destination where enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the universe of Springfield. The long-running series is also making its way to Rocket League, introducing an vehicle customization option that will also be usable in the Fortnite universe. That said, if gamers will actually want to use it is a different matter, as fans have their hearts set on just one Simpsons car everyone is eager to drive, and this new offering isn't that one.
What Fans Really Want
While many gamers would undoubtedly love to face off behind the wheel of Homer's custom creation—the famously flawed car the patriarch built personally in the classic episode "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?"—that's not what's being offered. We aren't even receiving the massive SUV, the heavy-duty truck showcased in the tenth season. Instead, fans are getting the Simpsons' standard beat-up four-door, which they've been driving since the show's early days. Even though this particular car has seen better days, it stands as an iconic element of the series. And for players who pay attention to Rocket League car hitboxes, the Simpson family car shares the same hitbox as the Dominus.

According to a official announcement, the challenges will task participants to "get as many centers and clears as there are the show's years on air, collect boost pickups as if your navigation is set to the Simpson residence, and drive a distance worthy of acquiring the ideal pastries!"
Although the complete list of challenge rewards isn't yet disclosed, here is what's been announced up to this point:
- Blinky antenna topper
- Homer's Hedges player banner
- Waste wheels
- 20,000 experience points for each challenge
Based on promotional images is any indication, it seems fans will also receive rims featuring a television displaying the show's opening credits, Kang and Kodos topper, a frosted doughnut trail, and boost effects themed to burning tires and Krusty Burger.
Event Timing and Fortnite Connection
The Rocket League collaboration coincides with the major The Simpsons invasion of Fortnite, which brings a brand-new map of the fictional town, as well as a month-long seasonal progression system. The Rocket League x The Simpsons event begins on November 1st and ends on November 17th.
